Veronika Lukyanenko in the Ukrainian drama ‘Homeward’

On November 7, Ukraine premiered the film "Homeward" directed by Nariman Aliyev with our young actress Veronika Lukyanenko in roles.

 The film was presented in the official program of the Cannes Film Festival “Special Look”, won the Grand Prix of the Odessa Film Festival and was selected from Ukraine in the Oscar long list.

 The plot takes place in modern Ukraine.  Nazim died in the war. His father Mustafa, a Muslim believer, comes for the body of Nazim, whom he wants to bury in the Crimea.  He insists that the youngest son Alim should go with him and observe forty days of mourning.
