A new trailer for the film "Chernobyl" with Ravshana Kurkova in one of the roles was posted these days. The plot is based on the real accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, which took place in 1986. The director and performer of one of the main roles was Danila Kozlovsky. The film also features Oksana Akinshina, Philip Avdeev, Nikolai Kozak, Igor Chernevich and many others.

Ravshana Kurkova: “This is not “our answer to Chamberlain ”, not an attempt to ‘hype’ around the success of the grandiose HBO series. Work on ‘Chernobyl’ began several years before the release of the series. The main theme of this film is love, tragedy and the feat of ordinary people, into whose life a catastrophe has burst".

The movie was supposed to hit the big screens back in 2020, but the pandemic has made its own adjustments, and many releases have been delayed until better times. The film will be released on April 15, coincidentally, on the 35th anniversary of the accident.
