The shooting of the new historical series "Tsar's Vaccine" with Marco Dinelli in one of the key roles is being completed in Moscow. He played Jacob Monsi, a Scots doctor under Catherine the Great. In this project, Marco played in Russian and English.
The story of how, for the first time in the history of Russia, mass vaccination was carried out, saving tens of thousands of lives. In 1768, at the height of the most severe smallpox epidemic that killed every tenth inhabitant of the country, Empress Catherine II decides to set a personal example for her subjects: together with her heir, Tsarevich Pavel, she is the first to be vaccinated against a terrible disease and declares vaccination mandatory for everyone - despite the court orders, intrigue, peasant riots and the impending war with Turkey, this decree must be carried out at all costs, otherwise the deadly virus will claim even more lives.
