The biographical drama "Lermontov" will premiere on October 16, 2025. The film is directed by Bakur Bakuradze, known for his films "Shultes" and "Salyut-7." The film is a historical drama and focuses on the final period of the life of the great Russian poet Mikhail Lermontov. According to the creators, the film will combine real historical events with an artistic reinterpretation of the writer's fate.

The drama "Lermontov" was filmed in 2024 in the North Caucasus, in locations closely associated with the poet's final years. Key episodes were shot in Pyatigorsk and Zheleznovodsk. Additionally, some scenes were filmed in the village of Elkush in Karachay-Cherkessia.

These locations were chosen for a reason: they were the setting for the real events leading up to Mikhail Lermontov's fateful duel. According to the film crew, the region's natural beauty and architecture helped to accurately convey the spirit of the era and the drama of the events.
