The series is set in Nizhny Novgorod in the early 2000s. Phones are filled with calls and "Snake" music, courtyards are filled with Dolphin and hi-fi, and the rich are often involved in crime. Three school friends—Yura, Ptakha, and Oleg—decided to help out their classmate Dasha, but instead find themselves in serious trouble. Suddenly, they are saved by a homeless man nicknamed Kompot (Alexander Petrov). He wanders around looking for work, gets fed in the school cafeteria, and remembers nothing of his past—he simply woke up one day after suffering severe injuries. The boys realize: this man saved their lives, and now they want to uncover Kompot's secret and help him regain his true self.
