Pyotr Andreyevich, a distinguished physician, heads the N.I. Pirogov Hospital. His daughter, Kira, a brilliant surgeon on the verge of burnout, also works there. Young doctors come to the hospital, whom Pyotr Andreyevich sends to her for training. Kira, however, is hostile to them, quickly becoming a "bitch" in the eyes of the newcomers. None of them suspect that behind her nagging lies a desire to turn them into true professionals. Kira's career comes first; she has no friends, no husband, no children, only her married colleague and lover, Ignat, who is in no hurry to get a divorce. The only one who sees a real woman in Kira beneath her stern exterior is Yegor, a new doctor. But are his intentions truly pure, and will Kira be able to trust him and finally begin living her life to the fullest?
