Nota Bene Film Group, the Commercial Fund for Film and Animation Development, distributor NMG Kinoprokat, and Art Pictures Distribution have begun filming the detective action film BLACK SILK.

The sequel to RED SILK will be set in 1930s Shanghai – a city where luxury coexists with risk, bright neon lights shimmer over dangerous, dark alleys, and Chinese pagodas conceal secrets. It is here that a mysterious cargo, codenamed "Black Silk," is being transported. No one knows for sure, but agents from several countries have already begun competing for it.

Miloš Biković, Gleb Kalyuzhny, and Chinese actress Zheng Hanyi will return to the lead roles in the project. Also joining the cast are Maxim Matveyev as intelligence officer Richard Sorge and Serbian actor Aleksandar Radojičić, who will play one of the film's antagonists.

The film also stars Maya Giter, Alexey Takharov, Polina Kutsenko, Ilya Antonenko, Sergey Annenkov, Hiroyuki Mori, and Junsuke Kinoshita.

BLACK SILK will be directed by Andrey Volgin, and the general producer is Vadim Byrkin. The film is being produced with the support of the Russian Cinema Fund, the Rostec State Corporation, and its holding companies Shvabe and KRET.
