The Shanghai International Film Festival, the largest in China, has been held since 1993. Russian works traditionally take part in its competition program.
The Russian premiere of the film will take place in July, also at a major film festival. After the Shanghai premiere, Chinese viewers came up and said that the movie touched them, and we are very grateful to them, but still, our movie, very interactive, we shot for the Russian audience in Russian,” Lipman said. “Therefore, we will have a premiere in Russia in July, and then we plan to release it tentatively in summer - autumn.” He noted the huge interest in the film in Shanghai. According to the producer, the public bought up tickets for the premiere screening in a hall for 1,000 spectators at the Shanghai Film Center in 2 minutes.
The young team of authors began creating the film in the summer of 2024. At that time, 22-year-old Daniil Merkulov acted as the screenwriter and director of the film. The script was written in about a month. Filming took 14 days, with most of the film filmed in 4 days in Anapa. As Mikael Lipman noted, the authors “were not burdened with a huge budget,” so the director and producer, who had previous acting experience, also acted as the main characters in the film. The film was created for 1.5 million rubles.
