In the distant future, earthlings help less developed civilizations overcome difficult stages of development. An employee of the Institute of History, Anton, goes to medieval Arkanar to save scientists who can advance evolution. He will become Don Rumata of Estor - a rich aristocrat who loves fights, drinking and women. The main rule is not to disrupt the natural course of history. The immersion into the world of Wink's fantastic blockbuster "Hard to Be a God" began right from the threshold of the cinema: guests passed through an impressive cosmic mirror portal. In the hall there was a photo zone with the throne of the king, on which the hero of Vladimir Yumatov sits in the series. Each seat in the auditorium had a QR code pasted on it; by clicking on it, one could get acquainted with the mysterious planet Kepler-4077 and its inhabitants. As a souvenir of the premiere, guests received bracelets with coins that helped them make a choice - “observe” or “intervene.”
Before the premiere show, the creators of the project addressed the audience: General Director of Wink.ru Anton Volodkin, General Producer of NMG Studio Fyodor Bondarchuk, General Director of NMG Studio Dmitry Tabarchuk, General Producer of the Internet Development Institute (ANO IRI) Elena Lapina, showrunner and scriptwriter Andrey Zolotarev, Team Films producer and showrunner Teymur Jafarov, as well as the series director Dmitry Tyurin.
Anton Volodkin, CEO of Wink, invited viewers to watch the first episode: “We are very excited, this is the largest project ever released in the Wink online cinema. Already on September 3, the first four episodes will be seen by our viewers, and then by the audience of the NTV channel. It is very difficult to make such a project, its creators know this, and I am immensely grateful to them. These are great people, thank you. And, of course, many thanks to our partners and everyone who was with us and rooted for us.”
